Dr. GrinbaumÂ received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He completed his General Practice Residency (GPR) at North Shore University Hospital (NSLIJ), a hospital based clinic in Manhassat, NY, where he gained experience in all aspects of adult and pediatric dentistry, includingÂ sedation dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics. Because heÂ was committed to helpingÂ children, especiallyÂ those with specialÂ needs, he then completedÂ a twoÂ year Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, where he gained specialty trainingÂ in all aspects of pediatric dentistry,Â including sedationÂ dentistry andÂ dental anesthesia. Dr. Grinbaum is a recipient of the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award presented annually by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). He scored in the top 3% of all candidates completing the May 2015 qualifying examination of the ABPD.
Dr. Grinbaum has always understood the importance of giving back to theÂ community, especially children.Â During CollegeÂ he was anÂ organizer and fundraiser for the SpecialÂ Olympics, which helps children overcome their disabilitiesÂ through athletic achievements. In Dental School, he participated inÂ Give Kids a Smile Day, by providingÂ free dental care and oral hygiene toÂ underprivileged children in New Jersey.
Dr. GrinbaumÂ is certified in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). He is also aÂ Licensed N.Y State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
He is a member ofÂ The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry,Â The Academy of General Dentistry andÂ Nassau County Young Dental Society.
